Every once in a while we find a shining star in the automotive world. The Corvette hobby has been fortunate enough to have one such someone that loves cars, is very down to earth and is one heck of a race car driver!
Ron Fellows has been deeply involved in the Corvette Racing Program from the early days of the CR-R. He has won 25 ALMS Races and helped clinch 3 GT1 Titles with the Pratt Miller Race Team. He is an accomplished driver in NASCAR and SCCA competition as well.
During the complete history of the Corvette, from 1953 to the present day, no other person has had a commemorative or special edition Corvette named after them. This is an incredible honour and it is well deserved. Ron is a tremendous ambassador for the sport of auto racing and the Corvette hobby in particular.
The Ron Fellows Edition Z06 Corvette will only be built during the 2007 Model Year. There will be a total of 399 vehicles produced, of which only 33 will be delivered to Canada
As Canada’s Largest Corvette Dealer we wanted to honour Ron Fellows with an evening surrounded by his fans and 5 Ron Fellows Edition Corvettes. Drop by and join the fun!

4 More Ron Fellows Edition Corvettes….. April 17, 2007

Yesterday we received 4 more Ron Fellows Edition Corvettes to compliment the one we received some time ago. These cars are very striking in their pure Arctic White colour, especially in a sea of Corvettes of all other colours.
There has been a tremendous amount of interest in these fantastic tributes to Ron Fellows. Nobody in the history of Corvette has been honoured with such a tribute vehicle with their name on it. Ron has signed each one of these vehicles on the inside of the console lid. Being individually numbered, there has been a lot of interest in which numbers come to Canada. These 4 Corvettes we just received are numbered #284, 336, 356 and 357

Real Corvette Driving Experience…….. April 16, 2007

This past Sunday April 15th was the inaugural Wilson Niblett Performance Corvette Driving Experience held at the Driver Development Track at the Mosport International Raceway. This event came about through the joint efforts of Wilson Niblett Performance and the Powell Skill Driving Group. It is a Corvette specific driver education that has a focus on skilled performance driving techniques.
Working closely with John Powell and his skilled Team, we designed this course to ensure that it encompasses the needs of all Corvette driver skill levels from novice to experienced. At this course we had drivers that included all levels of experience right up to ex-racers. This course is also beneficial to those that just want to learn better defensive traffic skills and polish their incident avoidance skills.
The weather held off until later in the day and afforded all the drivers the ability to verify how these factory Corvettes are capable of handling all road conditions at high performance levels. I think more than a few of us were impressed with the “out of the box” handling even in the wet weather!
We all had a great time and are looking forward to Level 2, which will be held June 26th, 2007 on the Grand Prix Track at Mosport International Raceway.
At the end of the day Devon Powell, who has extensive Corvette racing experience, took me out around the wet track for a blast in a C6 Z06. I have always been impressed with these cars but I am more of a fan now than ever. Corvette is a true world class performance car! A race car with street manners!

First Ron Fellows Edition arrives……… April 4, 2007

On a rainy spring morning there are always things that warm your heart. Today it was the sight of a loaded car transport coming up the road. The lights became brighter as the truck approached through the mist of rain. When it swung around the corner, we noticed that it was carrying a gleaming white car. We realized that we had just recieved the first Ron Fellows Edition Corvette Z06.
The Corvette looks fantastic, even in it’s “just delivered” look of pure white. The decals that identify the exterior of these cars as Ron Fellows Editions come shipped in the back of the passengers compartment, ready to be installed by the selling dealer. The full width spoiler truly suits the lines of the Z06.
I can’t wait to see this Corvette all dressed in the Ron Fellows trim. As it is, just sitting in the parking area, the car attracts people like crazy!

All Enthusiast Evening……… April 25, 2007

If you didn’t make it out to the Wilson Niblett Performanse hosted Ron Fellows Evening…you missed a great time!
It is no secret that we at Wilson Niblett are so passionately involved in this Corvette hobby because we are core enthusiasts. We enjoy sharing our love of Corvettes with as many other enthusiasts as possible. Last night was no exception.
As the Largest Corvette Dealer in Canada we had received 5 of the 33 Ron Fellows Edition Z06 Corvettes in our allotment. We were looking for a way to celebrate these fantastic cars that pay tribute to Canada’s own Ron Fellows , and all that he has done for the Corvette marque. We invited Ron to come and speak to his fellow enthusiasts in our new showroom.
Word spread quickly that the Most Popular Corvette Team Driver would be here to share his thoughts and experiences with his legions of fans and they didn’t let him down. They showed up in the hundreds. We cleared the parking area and by shortly after 7:00PM it was filled with enthusiast’s Corvettes. They came in with all manner of items, including Corvette engine parts, with the hopes of having Ron Fellows autograph them. Even many of the General Motors of Canada dignitaries showed up including the Corvette & Cadillac Brand Manager.
One of the new Ron Fellows Edition Z06 buyers was picking up his vehicle and Ron delivered the keys, autographed his documentation, signed his fuel rail cover and then drove the car out of the showroom. There was a lot of excitement about that moment.
We felt that this evening should be about honouring Ron Fellows for all his success in Corvette Racing and all that he has done for Corvette. Gordon C. Wilson, the President of the Wilson Niblett Motors Group presented Ron a plaque from all the Wilson Niblett Team to commemorate his achievements.
After his talk to all the enthusiasts there was a lively question and answer period. Then Ron offered to sign autographs for his fans. Folks were lined up around the showroom patiently awaiting there turn. As the night wore on people started to fire up their Corvettes and leave for the night.
When we were closing up the dealership and walking across the parking lot at the end of the evening there was only one Corvette left. We thanked Ron again and watched as he pulled his Silver Z06 out into the night, with the exhaust note barking as he slipped down the road out of sight. He had stayed and happily signed every item that his fans had requested. I don’t know who was having more fun…the enthusiasts or Ron!
He is a true Corvette Enthusiast……….
Thank You Ron Fellows.
