Proud OwnerNight Building Shot

Just as with any major project, after what seems like too much time, we are extremely happy to have finally moved into the new building.  We are officially operating out of this fantastic new facility.

As dealerships go, this is quite the state of the art facility.  The general excitement amongst the staff and the clientele has created quite a buzz.  The business is just humming.

If you are in the area you should drop in and say hello.  We will give you the free tour!

There are a few items left on the construction list such as the landscaping and final paving.  However, we are looking forward to watching the new image become completed over the coming weeks.

Stay tuned, we will post some pics of the progress!  Or better yet, drop by and see for yourself.

Lucabond

The building construction is nearing completion of the outside structure.  They have installed almost all the windows and doors, including all the large shop doors.   Over the last few days the construction team has been installing the Lucabond trim around the top of the building.  This completes the look and gives the building a great street presence.

Meanwhile other teams are finishing the interior of the building.  Having been for a recent tour of the inside, I can tell you that it looks spectacular.  Very open concept with a true vision towards ergonomic use of space.  The architecture lends itself to the ease of client flow within the building and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

There are many more wonderful features of this new dealership building but I will save the rest until it is nearer completion.  Then we will have more pics of the interior to dazzle you with!

Lamppost installShowroom glass

We not only have the front lot all paved, we now have the light standards installed for the new lighting fixtures.  This is great and will allow us to display an array of our new and used vehicle inventory in front of the new building as it nears completion.

Now with the glass installed for the showroom, it looks terrific!  Drop by and see for yourself.

The work crews have been fortunate enough, despite the weather challenges, to get closer being ready to pave the front parking area.   Most of the glass has been installed in the showroom area.  Elsewhere around the building they have added most of the doors and windows too.

With the natural gas getting hooked up today,we are almosr ready for winter!

New glass

Today the work crews started to install the glass in the showroom.  I must say, it really adds to the visual impact when you see the building at this point in the construction.  They have also been installing many of the outside doors over the past week.  At this rate the building will be closed in from the winter elements before too long.  Then the crews will be able to work in relative comfort as they skillfully add their finishing touches to the complete interior of the building.

The excitement is building!

The various construction crews are making real progress this week.  The weather has been very favourable and everything is coming together.

They have been pouring the cement for the shop floor since early this morning.  By late tonight it should be all smoothed out and dyed.  We can’t wait to see the finished product!

The crew out in the parking area is getting more of the post bases, curbing and walkways done.  This will hopefully allow us to get a coat of asphalt down before the freeze moves in.

While all this is going on, the building crew has managed to install most of the window framing extrusions for the showroom area.  Now the building has a more defined presence.

November 10th ConstructionThe weather this week has been better than was originally predicted.  Due to this good fortune provided by nature, the crews have been able to forge ahead.

The crew working in the front parking area has poured a lot of curbing and has installed a lot of square footage of unistone.  This is all in preparation for the initial coat of asphalt.

Meanwhile another crew has been working hard on installing the roofing materials to seal the steel roof covering.

Lots of high energy on the site today!

Building progress during fall weather November 9, 2006

Ground Breaking CeremonyThe weather has been kind to us today.  It would seem that rain has been the dominant weather system during this fall couple with some temperatures that have been less than seasonal.   This week has been different and that is of great benefit to us.

The new building construction is still at that phase when we are somewhat dependant on the weather to allow work to be done.  Especially at this point in time as they are working dilligently to complete the curbing, lamp post bases and drainage systems for the parking area that will be in front of the new showroom.

Watching all the progress that has been accomplished to date, makes us reminisce about the how the land was just a parking area before the construction started.

When I get chance I will post a current pic showing the progress to date.
