Corvette Racing Lemans History…………. December 4, 2006

Posted by wilsonniblett in Enthusiastic Commentary.

As the number one Corvette dealer in Canada for over 17 years in a row, it is natural that we have a very strong affinity for all things Corvette.  This love affair with North America’s only true production sports car is highly contageous and spreads to anyone exposed to these cars.

Many Corvette owners love them for the style and spirited road manners, others love them for their true racing heritage.  These cars are pedigreed, with lots of “papers” and trophies to prove it!  Whether you have driven a Corvette, sat in one, watched one drive, rebuilt one or raced one………………this video will stir your emotions.

After 54 years and counting, Corvette is still proving that it a dominant force in motorsports.  Innovation has been one of the keys to the success of Corvette on the road and the track. The engineers have no intention of resting on their laurels as Corvette moves forward.

This video is a collage of Corvette racing history, primarily at LeMans. From shots of Corvette Cheif Engineer  Zora Arkus Duntov and the Camoradi Corvette in 1960 all the way to the current C6R teams.
